Dear Parents and Carers

We have settled into our new term well and are looking forward to some hard work and fun.  We are a primary 5/6 class with Miss Sinclair and our PSA Miss Wallace.

Reading
We read a lot in class using our reading books, library books, classroom novels and newspapers.  Pupils have reading homework at least three times per week and the text to be prepared is detailed in their individual reading records.  Please sign these records to indicate your child has had their reading heard at home.  Please also feel free to use the comments box.  Pupils should bring their reading book every day.

P.E.
We have P.E on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.  Appropriate gym kit includes a t-shirt, a pair of shorts and a pair of indoor gym shoes.  For the warmer months, it is recommended that the children also have a pair of outdoor shoes as P.E may take place outside.  Gym bags are provided by the school and kept safely in the classroom.

Our Project
We are learning about the history of space travel and our solar system.

Homework
Homework will continue as usual this term.  Children will receive homework every Friday and have until Wednesday of the following week to complete it.  Pupils must do the activities in bold and at least one other of their choice.

Equipment
Please ensure your child brings a pencil and a rubber to school.  These can either be kept safely in their pencil case or in their individual tray.
